On 23 June 2011 First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová welcomed in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava the European Development Director for the Junior Chamber International Mrs. An Deventer from Belgium.

Mrs. Deventer presented the Slovak First Lady various fields of activity of the JCI, as well as its charitable activities carried out in cooperation with the UN. Representatives of the JCI-Slovakia discussed with Mrs. Gašparovičová also the possibilities of enhancing cooperation between the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody and the Junior Chamber International.

Slovakia became a member of the JCI 5 years ago. Its aim is to encourage young people to become entrepreneurs, especially university students.
