With the exhibition „Endre Nemes after 35 years again in Slovakia“ continues the project Henkel Slovakia for Slovakia that is aimed at the support of culture and art. The idea of the company Henkel is to present slovak public each year a world-known artist with origin in Slovakia. It´s an special opportunity to get to know works of artists that are very appreciated also by world-known galleries. On 29th November 2007 prepared the company an exhibition of the artist and graphic designer Endre Nemes who lived in Levoča and Spišská Nová Ves as a child. Due to fascism he emigrated to Sweden where he became a well-know notability. He became the Rector of the Academy of Arts in Göteborg, his works are protected by the swedish parliament and they are shown in world-known galleries. Without the support and involvement of the company Henkel couldn´t be an expensive exposition like this shown in Slovakia.
Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová visited the event of the project Henkel Slovakia for Slovakia for the second time. She viewed with interest the exhibition and movie projection about the life and work of Endre Nemes combined with music. In her speech at the festive opening she highlighted the fact that the company Henkel supports nearly as the only one in Slovakia culture and art, as well as charity. She also thanked the representatives of the company for a 2-years cooperation with her foundation. Due to their help can the foundation help mostly medically handicapped children.
