On Monday 24th April 2006 attended Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová an exclusive women’s afternoon in the Japanese style, prepared in Hotel ECHO in Bratislava by ladies from the Japanese embassy led by the spouse of the Ambassador of Japan in the Slovak Republic Mrs. Michi Washizu.

The program was very interesting, Japanese ladies prepared for all participants presentation samples of calligraphy, comments on the Japanese kimono dress and obi–tying, demonstration of traditional japanese ikebana flower arranging and classical tea ceremony. The event in addition to spouses of diplomats accredited to the Slovak republic and members of the International Women’s Club was attended by women entrepreneurs from all parts of Slovakia and journalists.

Part of the event was an exhibition of exclusive teas and Japanese tea porcelain associated with sale of them. Proceeds from the raffle organizers donored the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody.
