The Clinic of Accident Surgery in the Hospital of the Academician Ladislav Dérer in Bratislava has thanks to the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody a new RTG unit (C-arm). On November 10, 2008, festively donored the slovak First Lady Silvia Gašparovičová together with the Minister of Health Care Richard Raši this specialized instrument to the hospital. This portable roentgen will the doctors use at bones surgery. Due to the high amount of traumatology patients in Bratislava it will be used 24/7.
The Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová helps the slovak health care to buy needed life-saving instruments. „From the beginning on we concentrate on education and health for everybody. In the project Help for health care institutions in Slovakia we try to modernize and build up health care institutions. We always get requests form hospitals – what they urgent need and due to our finances we try to help. This time we´ve chosen this unit because of the fact that many children and adults have accidents. Without this instrument their surgery wouldn´t be that good as with this unit,“ said Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.
As Mr. Richard Raši said, „this unit is unavoidableat a normal or complicated surgery. If you don´t have such instrument, you can not operate – this instrument are your roentgen eyes.“
It´s the second time the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová helped this hospital – in the past a position-table for after-injury surgery was donored. Sponzors of the RTG unit are: Motor-car Banská Bystrica, spol. s. r. o., Transpetrol, a. s., Geoconsult, s. r. o., Creogroup, s. r. o., and the gain from an auction held at the Gardenparty 2008. |
