On 6 June 2012 Slovak presidential couple opened in the Presidential Palace the photo exhibition of nominated women in the public inquiry Slovak Woman of the Year 2012. The exhibition runs until 19 June 2012. Author of the photos is the well known portrait photographer Ivona Orešková.
First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, who took for the 4th time auspices over the public inquiry, welcomed all ladies. "I am very glad that I can welcome you here at the Presidential Palace. I look forward to the portraits of all nominees in this beautiful Sala Terrena, where well-known artists show their works of art. The exhibition of your portraits certainly belong here." President Ivan Gašparovič is considered that this public inquiry belongs to every society. "We have to honor people who have done something amazing. Life without a woman is not possible. I want to thank you for that you raise up healthy and good people for our society.“
As CEO STAR production and organizer of the public inquiry Mrs. Mária Reháková said, "aim of the exhibition is to show 25 nominated women like ladies that represent success in addition to the beauty of women".
Among the portraits of women from different fields – culture, science, health, charity, business and sports – also includes the portrait of the First Lady of the Slovak Republic Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, who also this year took over the patronage of the public inquiry. At the festive opening presented the writer and poet Jozef Banáš his poems, with musical accompaniment by Richard Rikkon. |
