First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová attended on 11 October 2012 a gala evening dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. Part of the celebration was also the SĽUK show Dance between Shrapnels.
In the City Theatre of P. O. Hviezdoslav in Bratislava were not only the university´s achievements commemorated, but also the challenges for future. As Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová said, "for the time of its existence the university has found a firm place in the higher education space in Slovakia and has a good reputation both at home and abroad. At the same time, however, you must keep in mind that the future will set higher and higher demands on the quality of education. In this spirit must address responsibly and professionally the fulfillment of objectives."
The Slovak Medical University in Bratislava is the only medical university in Slovakia, which is monothematic devoted to education of health professions. The university is also successor to the tradition of training of health care workers in the field of specialized training and lifelong learning, that are since 1953 provided in Slovakia. |
