President Ivan Gašparovič and his wife Silvia Gašparovičová came to support the blood donors.
According to President donation is a noble act. He added, "I am very pleased that young people in particular without any campaign or persuasion feel an obligation to themselves, they come and do what they can – they give blood. Blood needs everyone to live and I’m very happy that young people take it so well." The President of Slovakia for the first time spent blood in 1959 as a student of the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava.
