The slovak First Lady as the President of the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody participated on September 5, 2005, at a festive new school-year opening at the Slavic Gymnasium in Bratislava. She also granted a driving range for golf players at the school court. This will be build by the golf company JUTURN together with the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová.
The idea behind this golf project is to build a driving range at secondary sport schools and schools with a bigger amount of sport lessons in Slovakia, as well as educate golf teachers and spread golf activities between youth. The aim is to use school courts for sport actvivities and useful free-time spending without big financial requirements. If the golf-playing will spread in this way it becomes more financial available for all classes.
„Our foundation decided to support this project aimed at increasing sport activities of children because there is a big need of raising sport ability of youth and better spending of their free-time“, said the First Lady in her speech. |
