Spouse of the slovak President Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová rendered on 24th September 2010 to the Department of Children Hematology and Oncology in the Children’s Faculty Hospital in Bratislava a linear engine pump. As the President of the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová said, „the pump will allow cancer patients to give better the small dosage of the medicament. We will seek further to help with other devices, because, as I was informed, there are only a few of them."
For optimal functioning the clinic would need five pumps – said the head of the clinic Emília Kaiserová. She also thanked Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová for her not forgetting of children’s cancer patients. "I am delighted that you think about us, thant you gave us a beautiful and certainly a powerful and useful pump. When we don´t have them, so it’s a problem. When we have them, the personnel can better work with patients," said head of the clinic.
The Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody through the project ´Assistance to Health Care Institutions – byuing of needed mediacal equipment´ is trying to buy needed medical devices. The project is implemented by the Foundation since 2005.
In addition the First Lady visited in the Children’s Hospital in Bratislava also the renovated Urgent Department and modernized Radiological Department, which has a new digitized X-ray device and magnetic resonance imaging.
