On 19-21 May 2014, the First Lady of Slovakia Silvia Gašparovičová with her husband Ivan Gašparovič went to the farewell official visit in Warsaw, Poland. After the official welcoming ceremony began the plenary sitting of Presidents and both First ladies started a separate ladies program. Spouse of the Polish President Anna Komorowska prepared for Mrs. Gašparovičová a very interesting program. After a common lively discussion on the functioning of education not only in Slovakia and Poland, but also abroad followed a tour through the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. Consequently, the ladies program continued with an interesting tour of Warsaw, as well as visit of the National Museum, where they viewed an exhibition of Alexander Gierymski. Later Mrs. Gašparovičová and her husband visited the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Warsaw.
During the next day the First Lady of Slovakia had a joint program with the President Ivan Gasparovič, during which they visited the seaside town of Krynica Sea, vent to a cruise through the Wislány Bay to the city of Frombork, where they had a tour through the Cathedral of the Assumption and St. Andrew, as well as the Museum of Mikolaj Copernicus. The farewell visit to Poland they ceased by visiting the Malbork Castle.
