On 14th December 2007 Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová met the family winners of the 2nd sport competition Family Cup as well as the representatives of the civil union Family Cup. The contest Family Cup is a series of sport competitions of families all around Slovakia during the whole year. The family teams are build up from 2 or 3 generations. Inspiration came from Poland where it runs already for 12 years.
In 2007 five disciplines were runed – heavy slalom, ski run, swimming, tennis mixed doubles and mountain bicycles. The absolute winner is family Bubelová who won also last year. The oldest sportsman was the 78 years old Mr. Poddaný from Liptovský Mikuláš who mastered the slalom; the youngest one became the 5 weeks old Jakubko from Púchov who mastered swimming.
Mrs. Gašparovičová supports since many years activities that lead to do sport by children and youth. Because of this fact she has got a honourable medal of the civil union Family Cup and became a member of the Friends´ Club of Family Cup.
