Not only talking about beauties of Bratislava and Slovakia, but also about various charitable activities dominated in the meeting of the spouse of the slovak President Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová and the wife of the new Latvian ambassador to Slovakia Mrs. Ilze Gelnere on 9th March 2010 in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava.

First Lady welcomed the spouse oft the new Latvian ambassador to Slovakia

Both ladies expressed their belief that despite the global financial crisis, projects to help people will continue to be supported. Such is for example the project First Folk Academies - educational institutions for long-term unemployed, disabled people or abused women, not only in Slovakia but also in Italy, Austria and Latvia. "I was delighted as I heard about your activities in the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová - Education and Health for Everybody. It is remarkable how you are helping other people," said Mrs. Gelnere. In the discussion she also revealed that she is in Slovakia not for the first time and is delighted that she and her husband will be able get to know Slovakia better.
