Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová visited the Social services‘ home Gaudeamus in Mokrohájska street in Bratislava on December 18th 2008. In this institution for handicapped children and adults she met with around thirty inhabitants of the home. Mrs. Gašparovičová has brought along with her encouraging words also 300kg of delicious apples donated by a sponsor from Malá Tŕňa.
The children enjoyed the apples very much and so they recited the rhyme about a worm in an apple. They also used the chance to talk with the First Lady and were interested in the traditions and habits that Mr. President and Mrs. Gašparovičová keep up in their family. The children also learned the presidential pair’s favourite meal. Then Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová saw over the premises of the home where the clients can make use of diverse services – e.g. massages, swimming pool and the PC room.
