Charitable concert „Christmas Dream“

On December 10, 2007 under the name „Christmas Dream“ was hold in the Culture House „Zrkadlový háj“ in Bratislava the charitable concert of the Primary School for Hearing Impaired Children of Gejza Slaninka and their guests. The auspices over this event was hold by the spouse of the President of the Slovak Republic, Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, who also personally attended the concert. 

Children from this school together with invited guests prepared a wonderful programme. The festivy atmosphere of the concert was appended with appearances of children from kindergarden, folk ensembles Madovec, Lipka and Technik, pantomime, dance ensemble Mostík, Ballet studio of Magdaléna Thier, belly dance of former school student J. Šolcová, as well as songs of Robo Mikla, teachers Verešová and Škrabáková. 

The Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody also provided in 2007 to the Primary School for Deaf of Gejza Slaninka a material gift in the amount of SKK 203,900 – reconstruction of toilets on the ground and 1st floor of the school. 

After finishing the oficial programme Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová and Mrs. Veronika Redechová (chief of the Regional Instiution for Schools in Bratislava) sprinkled together with letters the first Logopaedy Handbook for Hearing Impaired Children that was written by the teachers of that school. This handbook was made on the ground of a project supported by the Ministry of Education of Slovakia and the European Social Fund.
