She also hold the auspice over the conference.
The centre exists for 5 years and is the only one in Slovakia that offers autists and their families a complex care. Each year they have nearly 500 new clients. In Slovakia live nearly 13.000 autistic persons.
The slogan of the Day of open doors in this centre was: „Let´s open doors to open hearts“. “I really appreciate the work of all Andreas-staff. I know autistic children and especially their parents need much help, patience and care. We should also involve state into this activity, because they aren´t payed yet,“said Mrs. Gašparovičová.
First Lady spoke also with the president of the World Autistic Organization Mr. Pat Matthews and his spouse. She was interested in requirements of such centres in Ireland and other countries with a participation of the state. Also a support from EU-funds is usual. Together they wish this will come true also in Slovakia.
