First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová met on 13th October 2010 in the Golden Room of the Presidential Palace in Bratislava wife of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovakia and wife of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Slovak Republic at the occasion of submission of letters of credence of the Ambassador of Ukraine and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus into the hands of the Slovak President.

Mrs. Oľga Havaši, spouse of the Ukrainian Ambassador to Slovakia, has very pleasant impressions of our country: "I must say that I feel comfortable here. There are many good-hearted people." During the talks Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová mentioned the recent official visit to Ukraine, which she attended together with President Ivan Gašparovič. "I´m glad that I could visit your country. I had very interesting meetings with students of the Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University. I´m pleased that also Ukrainian students are interested in the Slovak language," said Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. Both ladies also talked about tourism. Mrs. Oľga Havaši added that Slovakia is visited also by Ukrainian tourists, most frequently in winter.

Mrs. Sandrine Kountourides, spouse of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Slovak Republic, fell in love with Slovakia already during her stay in Cyprus and she looks forward to revealing its beauty. Ladies also discussed a number of charitable activities of the Slovak First Lady that Mrs. Kountourides admires.
