By cutting a lance on Friday, 8 February 2008, opened the slovak First Lady Silvia Gašparovičová the new established intensive care station (JIS) in Faculty Hospital of Ján Adam Reiman in Prešov. For a more qualitative women medical care in the hospital donored Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová through her foundation Education and Health for Everybody needed equipment in the amount of 800.000 SKK. „We decided to support a project that helps patients with serious diagnosis, but also makes doctors´ work much easier.“ A new workstation is thanks to this gift provided with e. g. position beds.
The intensive care station is stipulated for patients after oncological-gynaecological operations. The Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody supports various projects especially from the area of education, health care and handicapped children.
Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová visited in the Prešov´ hospital also the reconstructed workstation of Cardiology – unit of invasion cardiology, where she opened again by cutting a lance the angiograph (X-ray photograph for a vessel medical survey). At the same way the digital X-ray photograph was opened.
