On the last day of the official visit to Japan on 30 June 2012, President Ivan Gašparovič and his spouse Silvia viewed in Kyoto the Sento Imperial Gardens, as well as the Sanju-sangendo Temple and the historical Kiyomizu Temple. In the afternoon, the presidential couple visited the historic gardens of Nomura, which include buildings for tea ceremonies and villas.
