Opening of the exhibition Slovak Woman 2011

On 8 September 2011 in the foyer of the new building of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava was opened an exhibition of images of the Slovak Woman 2011 in the presence of the President’s wife Silvia Gašparovičová. Exhibition of images of nominated to the award Slovak Woman 2011 has set an end point to this year’s poll, over which took auspice for the third time the First Lady of the Slovak Republic. As she said, "I am delighted to participate in evaluation of your amazing work. It’s not easy when a woman wants to devote herself to profession and rise even higher. In addition to employment, study, raising the level of her work, she is in charge of the whole household, family and raising children – it is really not easy. Therefore, I welcome every opportunity to become acquainted with the achievements of exceptional women."

The poll Slovak Woman of the Year, that asserts the weekly Slovenka since 2009, aims to highlight successful women in seven categories, which their work speaks for. In many cases, these ladies are more known abroad than in Slovakia. Their example also should encourage other women in Slovakia.
