On 20 December 2005, Silvia Gašparovičová presented a financial gift to Marianna Kováčová, the President of Slniečko Centre, a non-profit organization in Nitra. The financial gift had been given to the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová by the Representation Office of Taiwan in Slovakia. The financial gift of USD 2,000 is intended to finance Christmas holidays in mountains for 20 abused and battered children from the Slniečko Centre.
