First Lady among the Third Age University students

On Thursday, October 20, 2005, First Lady of the Slovak Republic Silvia Gašparovičová visited the Comenius University in Bratislava, having been invited by the students of the Third Age University. She was welcomed by the Education Vice-Rector of the Comenius University, Mrs. Anna Predmerská , the Director of the Third Age University, Mrs. Nadežda Hrapková, and more than 50 students of the Third Age University. The First Lady informed them about the activities of her Foundation whose objectives include also supporting education projects. The Foundation promotes education activities of any age categories, including that of seniors. Last month, the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody presented several computers to the Silver Heads Civic Association so that the Association could organize computer courses for its members – seniors. In the future, the Foundation plans to support other projects designed for seniors who are unfortunately too often forgotten. The meeting with the Third Age University students took more than an hour, being a pleasant and inspirational event for everybody involved.
