First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová attended on 4 December 2012 the 13th gala evening Businesswoman of Slovakia 2012. The event organized by the National Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises was also this year held under the patronage of Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.
The competition aims to highlight successful Slovak women entrepreneurs. The range of sectors, in which Slovak businesswomen operate, is very diverse: Electrical wiring, bakery, food intolerance testing, real estate abroad, education – are only an example of the areas in which our women entrepreneurs are very successful. "Women in Slovakia are more and more courageous every year and enter into industries that are non-traditional for women. With their skills and diligence they achieve greater success, although to combine family and business is often very difficult," said the First Lady of Slovakia. "These successful women entrepreneurs are an example for other women to decide to start a business."
The Businesswoman of Slovakia 2012 became the bakery owner Lucia Chorendžáková from Veľká Lomnica. She received the award from the hands of the Slovak First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. The best start-up became Monika Kupcová from Prievidza, who operates a Slovak-English children’s kindergarten and Friday night hotel for the kids. Successful Tradewoman became Andrea Michalcová from Piešťany, who is engaged in the import and sale of food intolerance tests and is among the top 5 distributors in the world. |
