8th Hippotherapy Conference

In Bratislava met fans of hippotherapy. On 18th September 2009 in the Faculty Hospital in Ruzinov took place the 8th Hippotherapy Conference with international participation. Patronage over this conference took the spouse of President Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. "15 years ago, only few people knew what the word Hippotherapy means. Today it is a fully accepted curative method in the field of rehabilitation," said Mrs Silvia Gašparovičová who also belongs to lovers of horses. "I have beautiful memories on the period when I was riding. Anyone who ever tried to ride a horse can confirm that driving practices a wide range of muscles of the human body." Mrs. Gašparovičová also welcomed the fact that Slovakia is ranked among the world elite in successful exploitation and research of hippotherapy. "While in the past you just drew on the experience of their colleagues from abroad, now on the basis of your results you are exchanging full details of this treatment method with them," said the First Lady.
