On 29 September 2012 at the golf course in Skalica was held the charity golf tournament Drop of Hope Golf Cup. Financial benefit from this tournament will be used for the reconstruction and extension of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the 2nd Pediatric Department of the Children’s Faculty Hospital in Bratislava. For the second time the tournament was held under the auspices of the Slovak First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová who also personally supported the tournament. "I am glad that we meet at this beautiful golf event, the proceeds of which are intended for pediatric oncology. I believe that thanks to you the transplant unit for pediatric cancer patients will soon be fully operational," said the First Lady of the Slovak Republic.
Participants of the event had the opportunity to support this special charitable purpose not only by participating in golf competitions, but also by buying art works of young Drops of Hope´ artists – children from the hematology-oncology centers in Slovakia.
