Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová participated on 30 September 2006 in the charity concert ´Seniors and us´ held on the eve of the Month of Respect for Elders. First Lady also took over the patronage over this event.
"In my work I´m often meeting people who understand help as their life mission. I´m very glad I can promote with you the idea of a dignified life of older people, and thereby highlight the need for solidarity between generations. Respect for older people simply belongs to our culture, to that what we got educated by our parents and what we in turn handed over to our children. These principles in their daily work promote also workers of the geriatric center Senior, who with respect and love are taking care of our oldest citizens enabling them to lead full lives. Therefore I take this opportunity to thank you for your self-sacrificing work," said Mrs. Gašparovičová in her speech. |
