Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová vent together with the slovak President to the official visit of the Russian Federation (6-11 November 2006). In the joint program the First Lady attended a solemn session of the University Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Economics of Georgij Valentovič Plechanov, where the President of the Slovak republic Mr. Ivan Gašparovič received a honorary Doctor of Science degree.
From the hands of top academic officials, led by Viktor Grigorievich Shevchenko took Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová the decoration Order of Catherine the Great, First Class, No. 15 by right of merit and a large stake in the development of friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Slovak Republic. This award was given only to fifteen major figures such as Margaret Thatcher as a first one.
Silvia Gašparovičová opened the exhibition „European neoconstructivism 1930-2000“ in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition was installed by a group of Slovak businessmen in cooperation with the Museum of Milan Dobeš and the European Cultural Foundation. Exhibition to such an extent was first exhibited in Moscow thanks to Slovak businessmen.
First Lady visited the Central City Library of N. A. Nekrasov, where she gave to Moscow a book gift from the State Scientific Library in Banská Bystrica and participated in the cultural program of Russian and Slovak students.
In Omsk, First Lady attended the launch ceremony of two new lines for tire production in the slovak-russian company Matador- Omskšina.
In Krasnoyarsk visited Mrs. Gašparovičová the Museum of the writer Astafiev. She attended the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Slovakia in Krasnoyarsk. Finally, First Lady attended an excursion to the processing plant of precious metals and became aware of products that are shipped around the world. |
