Not every day can children – oncologic patients – meet two First Ladies. On April 22, 2008 came Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, spouse of the slovak president, and Mrs. Barbara Miklič –Türk, spouse of the slovenian president, to visit them. The small patients could talk with the First Ladies but also complain. Both First Ladies brought gifts and several party games they personally hand over. In this way they tried to make their stay during their treatment more comfortably.
The Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová helps also patients with this disease. Yet at the begin of 2006 they buyed special mechanism for a medical instrument to freeze liver metastases. The instrument helped many patients with liver cancer to lengthen or save their life.
