On 11-12 July 2012 President of Slovakia Ivan Gašparovič and his wife Silvia Gašparovičová vent on an official visit to Croatia.
During the ladies’ program on 11 July 2012 the Slovak First Lady met with Secretary General of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb, Mr. Pavao Rudan, with who she discussed the particular mission of the Academy and its cooperation with the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Inside the Academy in Zagreb collections of works of the Strossmayer Gallery of Old Masters are located, as well as the ´Board from Baška´ – the oldest known text written in glagolic from the year 1102. The First Lady of Slovakia has also viewed the Marton Museum that focuses on European decorative arts of the 18th and 19th century.
On the second day of the visit, President of Slovakia and his spouse visited the city of Pula in the Istria County, where they met with representatives of city and county.
