On Sunday 25 September 2005 in the Evangelical Church Eunika in Modra took place the III.rd annual benefit concert on the occasion of the Month of Respect for the Elderly. The organizers of the evening were the town of Modra, the Primary Art School in Modra, Evangelical Church of Augsburg Confession in Modra, Modra Hospital n.o. and MEDIREX spol.s.r.o. The concert was held under the auspice of the First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.

Organizer of the concert was also the non-profit organization Social Services Facility ´Senior´, that provides social assistance and humanitarian care for the elderly, disabled and chronically ill. Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová commended in her speech the efforts of organizers and artistic excellence, their great deal of empathy for older people and mutual human solidarity, which is the basis of respect of a man to a man.

Charity concert in Modra

The concert made famous Slovak artists and gifted students of the Primary Art School in Modra Katarína Zajacová, Anna Štrbová, Nina Sivošová, Hana Zigová and the world-known opera soloist Jolana Fogašová, as well as the Moyzes Quartet.

Proceeds from this charity concert will be used for reconstruction and development of facilities for the elderly.
