On 2 April 2014 First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová attended the cultural event held at the Mirror Hall of the Primate's Palace in Bratislava on the occasion of the World Autism Awareness Day connected with an information campaign. Also this year Mrs. Gašparovičová took the patronage over the campaign. “It is very important that even Slovakia – thanks to the Society for Help to People with Autism – for the 7th time ranks among countries in the world that pays attention to this disease. Activities to mark the World Autism Awareness Day have become an important tradition that I annually support, as well as many other people," said Mrs. Gašparovičová.

During the event a gala concert was held, which included songs of the Pressburg Singers choir under the leading of Janka Rychlá, musical compositions of boys with Asperger syndrome – one of the kinds of autism. Several of the boys also showed their performing arts. Enrichment of the event was the exhibition of artistic photos done by people with autism.

Aim of the information campaign about autism is to show and help the society to understand autism, as well as improve conditions for people with autism that enable them  to understand the world. As part of the global campaign "Light it up blue!" were from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd April 2014 the Bratislava Castle and Primate's Palace again illuminated in blue.
